Audubon Christmas Bird Count

The nation's longest-running community science bird project is not only a fun winter tradition for bird enthusiasts, but the information gathered during this annual census helps scientists study changes in bird populations over time. Understanding these evident trends in bird populations serves to inform conservation efforts and policy.
