The next membership meeting of the South Bend-Elkhart Bird Alliance (SBEBA) takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Farmer Room at the Howard Park Event Center, 219 S. St. Louis Blvd. in South Bend. The park is at the corner of E. Jefferson Blvd. and S. St. Louis Blvd., next to the St. Joseph River, near downtown.
Please be aware that the event center does NOT open until 12:00 p.m. on Sundays. Entry is through the front doors facing S. St. Louis Blvd. or the east doors that face the skating ribbon. One CANNOT enter the event center through the doors facing E. Jefferson Blvd. or via the Howard Park Public House restaurant.
Due to planned redevelopment work at Rum Village Park, SBEBA had to move our September and October membership meetings in advance to a different venue. We will return to Rum Village Park in January 2027. Our October speaker is Katie Lane, Director of Operations at Unity Gardens. Their motto is “Growing Food, Growing Knowledge, Growing Community!” We will have refreshments and snacks. All our events are free, open to members and non-members of all ages. Come and enjoy!
La próxima reunión de miembros de South Bend Elkhart Bird Alliance (SBEBA) se llevará a cabo el domingo 11 de octubre de 2026 a las 2:00 p.m. en el Farmer Room del Howard Park Event Center, ubicado en 219 S. St. Louis Blvd. en South Bend. El parque se encuentra en la esquina de E. Jefferson Blvd. y S. St. Louis Blvd., junto al río St. Joseph, cerca del centro de la ciudad.
Ten en cuenta que el centro NO abre hasta las 12:00 p.m. los domingos. La entrada es por las puertas principales que dan a S. St. Louis Blvd. o por las puertas del lado este que dan a la pista de patinaje. No se puede entrar al centro de eventos por las puertas que dan a E. Jefferson Blvd. ni por el restaurante Howard Park Public House.
Debido a las obras de remodelación planeadas en Rum Village Park, SBEBA tuvo que trasladar con antelación sus reuniones de miembros de septiembre y octubre a un lugar diferente. Regresamos a Rum Village Park en enero de 2027. Nuestra conferencista de octubre es Katie Lane, directora de operaciones de Unity Gardens. Su lema es “Cultivando alimentos, cultivando conocimiento, cultivando comunidad”. Serviremos refrigerios y bocadillos. Todos nuestros eventos son gratuitos y están abiertos a miembros y no miembros de todas las edades ¡Ven y disfruta!
