Trails

PDF of Map

  • Friends Wetlands Trail - A short trail that goes along wetlands in the park. Great for swallows, cormorants, green heron, as well as warbler species in the spring. This trail can be muddy/impassable after heavy rains.

  • Trail 1, 2 - Trail 1 starts near the Nature Center and can be taken by itself or connected with Trail 2 for a longer hike. These trails are more trafficked due to their proximity to the Nature Center, but they offer great views of the lake and wooded areas. Woodpeckers, chickadees, orioles, and sparrows are all common sights along these trails.

  • Kayak/Canoe - Renting a kayak is a great way to view the park from the water. The lake is large and can keep you busy for a couple of hours. Herons, swallows, ospreys, kingfishers, and of course sunbathing turtles are to be expected when out on the lake.
