How does this work?
We’ve partnered with a company called Threadless to offer on-demand printing services to our members on a variety of apparel and accessories. When you place an order, your item is printed and sent to you from Threadless. Our Society gets a small share of the sale.
Do you keep an inventory? Can I see samples?
No, SBEAS doesn’t have an inventory of products. Items are printed after you order them, and then shipped to you. Some members who have already purchased products may wear them to meetings, field trips, etc., so keep an eye out.
How do sales and promotions work?
Threadless manages the shop and will occasionally run sales. SBEAS doesn’t have control over this, so look for sales and deals when you’re shopping.
Can I buy merchandise at a meeting?
No, due to the on-demand printing style and how Threadless handles all the payments and transactions, we won’t be able to offer products at meetings or events.
Does SBEAS get a share of the sale?
Yes, each sale gives a small amount to the Society. These dollars help fund our conservation efforts and overall mission.
What if I don’t see the style, color, or design that I want?
Threadless offers a lot of different products, so much that it can be overwhelming. We’ve chosen the most common products to keep the storefront simple and easy to navigate. You can view a list of all available products here. If you see something you like that we don’t offer, please let us know and we can see about adding it.
Colors are chosen to ensure visibility of our logos and text. If you’re looking for an item in a color we don’t offer, please contact us to see if it can be added. If you have an idea for a different design, we’d love your suggestions, too!
What if I need to make a return or exchange?
These are handled through Threadless. They offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We are unable to accept returns at meetings or events.
